# Welcome to Notes ## Quick Start Create a collection by clicking the button on the lower left, or load an existing collection. Afterwards, add notes by clicking the button on the top left. You have to save the active note before you can create or switch to another one. The workflow is optimized for quick keyboard operation for efficiency: Create and name notes with the return key, save them with Ctrl+S and press Tab to switch back to view mode, then repeat the process for the next note. When browsing, navigate between notes with the left/right arrow keys, and scroll through them with the up/down arrow keys, or page up/down. To edit the active note, switch to the editor mode with Tab. When you're done editing, remember to download the collection - it will not be saved automatically. This software will always be free to use and free of any kind of requirement to register, advertisement, or user tracking.
